After much success in other cities over the past few years, the Swim to Fight Cancer event is coming to Eindhoven on Saturday, 26 August. It starts at 16:00 at the Dommel.

This 2 km open water swimming event is being organised to raise funds to help fund cancer research. The race is open to swimmers aged 16 and over. There is also a short 1,25 km course for swimmers between the ages of 10 and 15.

The organizers are holding two free training mornings. One was held on Saturday and the other will be on this coming Saturday, 19 August at ljzeren Man, near the TU/e. It starts at 09:00. The organisers are also looking for volunteers to assist with various tasks such as traffic control, first aid, and administration.
