A young man was seriously injured in a car accident in Geldrop late on Tuesday night. A van struck him, flinging him through the air.
The accident happened at around midnight on Rielsedijk. The 16-year-old boy was driving a moped and skipped the red light. He was going about 60 km/h. The van’s driver was going and a similar speed when he ploughed into the youngster.
The teenager had severe injuries to his back, ribs, and legs. He was rushed to a hospital for further treatment.
