The students of Fontys start their academic year during the Purple introduction week. They get to know their fellow students, education and Eindhoven better.
There are small-scale activities per course on Mondays and Tuesdays. On Wednesday there is a city program in the city center of Eindhoven. The closing Purple Festival, with around 10,000 students, will take place on Thursday 29 August in the Spoorzone of Tilburg.
City program
On Wednesday there is an afternoon program that takes the new students to various locations in Eindhoven. The participating organisations present themselves to the new city dwellers. The students start on the Ketelhuisplein and make stops at the PSV stadium for a tour, at the Effenaar and there are assignments at various places and there is an information market.
5500 students are taking part in the city program in the center of Eindhoven. Around 2300 students spend the night in the Klokgebouw that has been temporarily renamed ‘Purple Inn’.
