Running tour group raises money for needy deaf in Africa

 

<strong> group of 25 South Africans will be putting their bodies on the line for a worthy cause when they participate in the upcoming De Lage Landen Marathon on Sunday 9 October 2016 in Eindhoven.</strong>

The group are raising awareness and funds for the care for multiple-disabled deaf adults in a unit at the National Institute for the Deaf (NID), an organisation that offers training, care and support services for needy Deaf and persons with hearing loss in South Africa. NID has helped thousands of Deaf persons over the past 135 years and continues to change the lives of persons with hearing loss through its innovative services.

They will also be participating in the Bois du Bologne Parkrun (Paris) as a warm-up run and the Belfius Marathon (Brussels) as part of their 2016 Marathon Tour. This is the sixth Marathon Tour to the benefit of NID.
