The Urban Ice Event has been cancelled. From yesterday (25 December), people were supposed to have been able to skate on an ice rink in Strijp-S.
The rink, however, was not there. The event has been cancelled due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’ and a lack of finances.
“Quality, safety, and service are our priority,” says the organiser, Premium Ice Foundation on a website. “Due to unforeseen circumstances and insufficient financial capacity we could not guarantee that this winter.”
The ice rink was to have been in Strijp-S until 20 January. The organisers want to try to build an ice rink in the area next year again.
