World first: Virtual Reality game in the Effenaar

There will be a world first in the Effenaar on March 28. In collaboration with the Dutch company VRee participants will be able to play the virtual reality game ‘VRisb’.

In the game you appear with your whole body in the virtual world and play with others in a virtual arena. As a player you have a suit and gloves and put on a virtual reality glasses. The game is based on the ‘real’ Frisbee. The objective is to hit as many targets as possible in order to achieve a higher score than your opponent.

Spectators also have something to do. They can make a player stronger through ‘powerups’ by giving ‘ratings’. The virtual arena can be watched on screens in the hall, tablets and mobile phones.

The Virtual Game Night will take place on April 28 from 19 am to 22:30 pm in the main hall of the Effenaar.
