Yesterday, the 4th edition of the Health Tech Event took place at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. Attended by more than 200 participants from across the world, the event was very international.
The event covered a range of topics including innovation in medical devices and ‘wearables’, ‘big data’ in health care, early detection, dealing with mild cognitive and physical decline, wellbeing at work and at home, application of photonics in health care, robotics in health care and aspects of ethical, legal and security around these topics.
The keynote speakers at the event were Prof. Dr. Koen Kas, CEO, InBioVeritas /Oncology, Ghent University and Prof. dr. ir. Maarten Steinbuch, Distinguished University Professor Science and Scientific Director High Tech Systems Center, Eindhoven University of Technology.
In their presentations ‘The digital delight of disease prevention’ and ‘High precision robotics for care and cure’, the speakers set the tone for the event discussing the current scenarios and future of healthcare, wearables, robotics and the increasing role of technology in healthcare.
Organised by Jakajima in association with EIT Digital and the High Tech Campus, the event also included an exhibition where several established companies, institutes as well as promising startups showcased their innovative products and services.
