21-year-old Japanese international Ritsu Doan has signed a contract that will connect him to PSV until mid-2024.
On Saturday afternoon, after his first training at PSV, Doan received his first PSV shirt from Willy van der Kuijlen. That happened under a lot of media interest from Japan. Doan will play for PSV with back number 25.
Professional career
Doan started his professional career in 2015 at top club Gamba Osaka in Japan. In the highest national football competition, the J1 League, he made his debut at the age of sixteen. Doan is thus the youngest debutant in Japanese professional football ever. In 2017 FC Groningen attracted him on a rental basis.
