Yolande Zola Zoli van der Heide is the new curator of exhibitions at the Van Abbe Museum.

She will be joining the Eindhoven Museum of Contemporary Art next month. She will follow Annie Fletcher, who has been appointed the director of the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin.

Van der Heide will be involved in research, more active collaboration with the public, and keeping the museum’s collection up to date. More frequent contact with visitors will be one of the Van Abbe’s priorities.

According to Museum Director, Charles Esche, Van der Heide is extremely well qualified. “She has a great deal of experience in putting together exhibitions in both a national and an international context. She excels at bringing together people and interests at the interface between art and society.”

Until recently, Van der Heide was deputy director of the art institute Casco Art Institute in Utrecht. She also worked at the Dutch Art Institute Roaming Academy in Arnhem.
