The primary schools in the Eindhoven region started again after a long summer holiday on Monday morning.
The new school year was celebrated in a number of schools. This was also the case at the Floralaan primary school in Eindhoven. Before the lessons started, the headmistress addressed the students in the schoolyard and blew a can of confetti into the air.
This year, Veilig Verkeer Nederland is also running the campaign ‘The schools have started again’. Banners are used to alert motorists that there are plenty of children crossing again in the morning to go to school.
The next holiday for the students is at the end of October.
