Man arrested in his own home

On Tuesday morning, the police arrested a 54-year-old man in his home in Eindhoven. He is suspected of being involved in a robbery at a pharmacy in Strijpsestraat in February last year.

It is thought that he also tried to rob the Total petrol station in Oude Bosschebaan on the same night. On the night in question, the robber threatened an Etos employee with something that looked like a gun. The man was wearing a balaclava.

Once outside, he fled on a scooter, being driven by someone else. They sped off in the direction of the centre of Eindhoven. Shortly before this incident in Strijpsestraat, a man tried to rob a petrol station in Oude Bossche Baan. Nothing was taken here.

After an extensive investigation, the police were able to arrest this suspect for possible involvement in these two cases. The man remains in custody. There may be more arrests.
