Pegida, an anti-Islamic organisation, will hold a demonstration outside the Al-Fourqaan mosque in Eindhoven. They announced this via their Facebook page on Tuesday.

Pegida was founded in Germany in 2014. Its name is an acronym for ‘Patriotic Europeans against the Islamisation of the West’ in German.

The demonstration will be held by Pegida Nederland, the Dutch chapter of the organisation. It is planned for Monday 6th May this year, the first day of Ramadan.

Pegida have referred to the demonstration in Eindhoven as the start of their ‘Ramadan Tour’. They want to demonstrate at even more mosques in multiple cities throughout Ramadan.

On their Facebook page, they called the Al-Forquaan mosque an institution that supports ‘hate imams’. They also accused the mosque of being ‘anti-Semitic’, ‘anti-homosexual’, and of ‘glorifying terror’.
