Wizzair to fly between Georgia and Eindhoven Airport

Wizzair, the low-cost airline which offers flights to and from Eindhoven Airport made an announcement today. From this summer, it will fly directly between Eindhoven Airport and Kutaisi in Georgia.

The company intends to offer three flights a week between Eindhoven and Kutaisi in Georgia.The connection will be on offer per August 2019.

After Tbilisi, Kutaisi is Georgia’s second most important city. Ranged according to population, this Georgian city comes third.

Kutaisi is home to Georgia’s Parliament. The city has several museums and interesting historical buildings. The nearby Gelati monastery, for instance, is a Unesco World Heritage site.

Kutaisi also offers good rail-connections with Tbilisi. The international airport itself, is located about 14 km from the city centre.

According to WizzAir, the new scheduled flights will offer the first direct connection between the Netherlands and Georgia.
