Rising house prices in Eindhoven make bordering towns more attractive

The rising house prices in Eindhoven mean that more people will leave for neighbouring municipalities. This is what real estate advisor, Colliers International, has concluded after doing research on the subject.

Only last year, house prices in Eindhoven skyrocketed by 13%. This is because the number of households has grown much more rapidly than anticipated. And that has to do with the large number of expats that have come to the city, researchers say. Especially apartments are in high demand.

The high house prices in Eindhoven have had the effect that house prices in the surrounding villages are, for the first time, relatively lower than those in the city.
