Fire on school’s roof, kids evacuated

A fire broke out on the Van der Puttschool in Geldrop yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

The fire started on the roof, probably while work was being done there. The school day was already over, but there were still a few teachers and some children at the after-school care. They were brought to safety.

It is not exactly known what was on fire. The Fire Department had to take some tiles off the roof to be able to put out the blaze. The street was also closed.
