Up to three hundred participants are expected next Sunday for the Eindhoven Marathon trail run.
Many runners each year grab the chance to explore the marathon course. “It’s fun for runners because they get to know where they are”, one volunteer said.
The trail starts at ‘t Lempke bar on Stratumseind. Participants can choose to explore one of two sections – a 21km lap that forms the first part of the marathon, or the 15km half-marathon course.
The trail run is free of charge for participants.

I think you mean ‘trial’
A ‘trail’ is an off-road run
Thank you for your comment Andreas! The original article states ‘parcours” which in English means ‘trail’. The word trail can refer to countryside paths, but can also simply mean ‘a route followed for a particular purpose’.
