Imke Carsouw will step down from her position as Managing Director of Brainport Development and as Director of the Brainport Foundation with immediate effect.
Urgent personal circumstances are cited as the reason for her departure.
She has held both positions since 2013. Both the Supervisory Board and the Board of Brainport Foundation said they regret but respect her decision.
President John Jorritsma said that Brainport had made positive developments under her leadership in recent years.
Imke Carsouw also spoke of pride in the expanding development of Brainport and finds it regrettable that Carsouw will no longer be part of it.
Deputy Director Joep Brouwers will stand in until a replacement is hired.
