PSV angry about smoke bombs

PSV is planning to take action against the people who set off dangerous smoke bombs during the PSV – Ajax game at Philips Stadium.

One of the perpetrators has since been apprehended and handed over to police. PSV, in conjunction with the police, are going to search for others that were involved. ‘This crosses the boundaries of what is acceptable. We are going to recover the cost of the damages from these perpetrators and ban them indefinitely from the stadium,’ says General Director, Toon Gerbrands.

Fifteen people were treated by the EHBO for health complaints due to the smoke bombs. PSV also contacted the GGD about the health risks of smoke bombs. They said:  ‘There is little chance of permanent damage to your health if you inhale a small amount of this smoke. If you had been standing in the smoke and experienced health problems which have not improved, we advise that you contact your GP.’

PSV is calling on supporters who experienced physical complaints due to the smoke to report these to the club. This can be done via the PSV fan desk.
