A cyclist was seriously injured yesterday evening, when he was hit by a car on Floralaan West.
The accident happened at the junction of Floralaan West and Appelbloesemstraat, in the district of Stratum. A trauma helicopter was called to the scene, but did not land in the end.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance.
