DAF staff on 24-hour strike

DAF employees are on a 24-hour strike in Eindhoven today. Negotiations for a new collective labour agreement for metal workers have ended in deadlock. The entire metallurgy industry, which includes DAF, is taking industrial action at the moment.

This afternoon there will be a protest march, starting at community centre De Ronde at the Tongelresestraat at 12:00 and leading to the DAF site.

Early this morning a ‘gate action’ was organized by the unions. Flyers, calling on staff members to join the strike, were being distributed both at the main and east gate.

The strike at DAF started at midnight and will last until 12 o’clock tonight.
