Holi Run to brighten campus

Student association SSRE has organized a HoliRun on campus: participants run a five-kilometer course treated to showers of coloured powder along the way.

"It doesn’t matter how fast you are, as long as you make it to the finish", says Gerrit Nijrolder, one of the SSRE members organizing the event.

Nijrolder: "We’ve organized several editions of Club040, but that event mostly attracted SSRE members and other students. We came up with a new event his time that hopefully attracts more people from the city, too. By the way, when we came up with the idea we had no idea there would be so many Holi events today."

The run starts on September 13 at 6PM, and after all runners have finished, there will be a ‘burst of colour’ on the KOE field, and a subsequent party with DJs. The organization has already registered 470 runners, and there are only a few spots left. For more information, please visit the website.
