A lot of traffic fines were issued last year in Eindhoven. The town is even among the top in The Netherlands when it comes to the number of drivers issued with a ticket for speeding, according to reports in the Volkskrant.
In total about 85,000 speeding fines. This is a sharp increase in two years, according to figures requested by this newspaper from the Centraal Justiceel Bureau (Central Judicial Collection Agency).
All speeding fines in Eindhoven amassed to more than 4.5 million euros for the treasury.
