Two delivery vans collided at the intersection between John F. Kennedylaan and Onze Lieve Vrouwestraat.
The collision happened at high speed, evidenced by the extensive damage to both vehicles. According to witnesses, there was also a short fire in one of the vans.
Although the material damage was considerable, the drivers of the vehicles were luckily unharmed. They escaped with light injuries and did not have to go to the hospital.
The intersection was closed for about an hour in a westerly direction due to the accident. It is not clear how the accident could have occurred.
