This past week, 250,000 people visited the DDW, a significant rise compared to the 220,000 visitors last year.
The organization is satisfied with this successful 12th edition, as are the 2,000 designers, according to a spokesperson.
This year, a passe partout was introduced for the first time. The visitors needed to pay in order to get access to the four main sites. The passe partout was intended to allow the DDW’s organization, Capital D, to make up their deficits. Last year, the organization ended up with a 900,000 Euro deficit.
