Coalition party, PvdA (Labour Party), is grumbling about the waste being dumped in several Eindhoven neighbourhoods again.
The party believes waste prevention is taking too long. A month ago, the City Council announced it would be stricter in ensuring that residents do not simply dump their waste on the street, in particular, near the underground waste containers.
Nevertheless, the PvdA writes that there is little evidence of this approach. In particular, on Kruisstraat, Hemelrijken, and Kronehoefstraat waste was dumped around the bins once again last weekend. According to the coalition party, the trash is going to stink even more now, as the temperature increases.
The PvdA, therefore, wants clarification. For example, the group wants to know why waste is sometimes left so long on the street, and whether the new approach is working. The Municipality also has made plans for the containers. But PvdA Councillor, Jan Hopstaken, wonders whether they have any effect.
