Millions for nature project

A larger nature reserve and recreational area is going to be created around the motorway junction ‘De Hogt’ of the A2 and the A67. The current green area is going to be enlarged, which should attract more people with a technical background to the Eindhoven area.

The nature reserve should connect the Maxima Medical Centre (MMC), the High Tech Campus, ASML and the countryside with one another. There will be a large bicycle path, the so-called ‘Slowlane’, between the High Tech Campus and ASML.

Besides the biking and hiking trails and bridges crossing the Dommel river, there is also a plan for a bicycle bridge across the A67. This way, MMC and ASML staff have easy access to the Dommeldal (Dommel valley).

The project is going to cost between 12 and 15 million Euros and should mainly be funded by national and provincial subsidies.
