The TU/e’s Solar Team Eindhoven could breathe a sigh of relief late last week. The new solar panel for their car arrived in Australia.

The team flew to Australia almost three weeks ago. When their car, Stella Era, arrived, they were aghast to see it’s solar panel had been damaged during the flight. “Our only choice was to order a new custom-made panel,” reads a post on the team’s Facebook page. Thanks to contributions made to their crowdfunding campaign and their various partners, they were able to do just that.

The team is racing in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. This race starts in less than two weeks, on 13 October.
