It is going to cost €150,000 to change the name of the station from ‘Eindhoven’ to ‘Eindhoven Centraal’. According to the local DENK political party, this cost is very disproportionate. The party put forth questions regarding this.
The party wants to know whether the name change is really necessary and where the money will come from – especially considering the shortages in different areas. DENK believes that the money for a name change should come from the City Marketing budget.
Ideally, DENK would like to see the decision of renaming the station reversed. The party, therefore, also wants the City Council to consider this possibility.
