VDL Nedcar has scraped around 700 jobs. The production of the company has fallen, and the flexi workers are no longer needed.

According to a report in Eindhovens Dagblad (ED), the management already announced this measure six weeks ago. The consequences are more apparent now. According to ED, just about a thousand parttime employees have been let go in one year.

This has everything to do with the number of cars that the Eindhoven company produces. In 2018, VDL Nedcar produced around 200,000 cars. This year they will produce about 175,000 cars.
