Flight Forum staff to go on ‘car diet’

Travel as sustainably as possible for one month. This is the challenge that was put to people working at the Flight Forum business park in Eindhoven.

They are taking part in the national Low Car Diet. Participants are encouraged to use their vehicles as little as possible. They should choose alternate methods of transport. In last year’s month-long campaign, the Low Car Diet participants travelled 50% cleaner, saved 30% on their transport costs, and moved 40% more.

Fourteen companies at Flight Forum have signed up so far. They join the ranks of many other companies in the Netherlands. These include companies such as Unilever, as well as several municipalities. Participants can follow each other’s progress on an app. The competition officially starts on 10 September. It is the tenth time this challenge has been held.

Last year, Flight Forum organised the ‘Your Bike Counts’ campaign. For two months, employees from 18 companies tried out electric bikes for a week at a time.
