Transavia jumped into the gap Ryanair left at Eindhoven Airport.

Since the Irish airline has closed its base in Eindhoven, a small number of destinations to and from Eindhoven were also released. The Dutch airline, Transavia, now offers some of those flights. It comes down to flights to nine destinations. These are Marrakech, Krakow, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Seville, Athens, and Faro.

Ryanair decided to close the base in Eindhoven in early October. With this, the jobs of more than 100 employees were immediately put on the line. Pilots and cabin crew appealed to the court – they are against a forced relocation to a different Ryanair base. The Court ruled that the forced transfer and the conclusion of the base were unlawful. However, Ryanair is standing firm so far, and the base remains closed.
