Attractive new city centre in the works

From today (Thursday), the Eindhoven Municipality is organising tours for residents who want to see what the new paving in the city centre will look like. The best part is residents can test it for themselves.

Eindhoven centre is to be entirely revamped. There are many plans in the pipeline, such as the refurbishment of the area around the Station. The inner city – the streets with the red cobbled stones and the Stratumseind – is also changing. The current city plan is outdated. The ‘Inner City Vision Eindhoven 2025’ also shows plenty of ambition.

The City Council aims to create a gezellige city centre, where you can also feel that you are in the heart of Brainport Eindhoven. Where the residents of Eindhoven feel at home and where (international) guests like to visit. A green, healthy environment, where people can relax or meet up. Somewhere you can experience what Eindhoven stands for – technology, design, and knowledge – on a daily basis.

What will the new city look like? The Eindhoven Municipality will be working on this in the coming period with residents, the business community, and visitors to the inner city. Together with these stakeholders, they hope to come up with a final design plan that guarantees a healthy future for Eindhoven’s inner city.
