International women’s club turns 50

Last month, the International Women’s Club Eindhoven (IWCE) celebrated their golden jubilee.

Their 50th anniversary, a ‘dinner and dance’ held at the DAF Museum,  was attended by about 100 people.  The festivities were kicked off by Mary-Ann Schreurs, Councillor for Innovation and Design, Sustainability and Culture at the Eindhoven City Council. She expressed her appreciation of the IWCE’s networking connection function. “The IWCE is very important as a social support structure for international women and their families in the Eindhoven area”, she said.

The IWCE is a social organisation with about 170 members from 45 countries. Their mission is the promotion of the networking of English-speaking women from all over the world in the Eindhoven region. They have monthly meetings and group activities for ladies with a wide range of interests.
