A bakfiets went up in flames on Wednesday night. This happened at about midnight on 18 Septemberplein. The flames reached several metres high and loud bangs were heard.
The bicycle was parked in front of the Bijenkorf. Bystanders phone the fire department who were able to douse the flames a few minutes later.
The cause of the fire is not known.
