Parkfest Indoor, the successor to Folkwoods folk festival, will not take place this year. Eindhovens Dagblad reports that the event has been cancelled.
The reasons for the cancellation are disappointing ticket sales, and the great difficulty in acquiring the necessary licences. Anyone who had already bought a ticket can have their money refunded.
The festival was scheduled to take place on 13 and 14 August. There will now be a free performance of Tip Jar, one of the bands due to play at the festival, on Sunday 14 August. The concert will be in the afternoon, at Café Wilhelmina, in Eindhoven.
