Three Eindhoven-based corporations have been named among the 500 most sustainable large companies in the world.
Philips, ASML, and NXP were all named in the list published by influential US magazine Newsweek. Philips is the highest ranking Dutch company in 18th place. Veldhoven-based chip manufacturer ASML is 66th, while NXP ranks at 390.
ING and Heineken also made the top 500, which was compiled in consultation with scientists and interest groups.
Irish pharmaceutical company Shire PLC topped the list.
