Free market Onze Kraam (Our Stall) has been given the title of Most Convivial Store by Eindhoven Municipality.
The shop has only been open since February this year, after John Brugmans had seen the free market concept while on holiday in the Drenthe region. Onze Kraam is an actual market place where anyone can rent a stall and sell their own wares.
Everyone was allowed to nominate their favourite shop during the competition. In the end, more than 25,000 people cast their vote. The nominated shops were judged on ambiance, customer relations, the ratio of price to quality and the way in which staff worked.
All municipality winners will be honoured on 11 January at the CORPUS Experience Center in Leiden.
