Eindhoven’s Catharina Hospital is set to become the region’s centre of expertise for complex gynaecological cancer care. It had previously served as a referral centre, along with the Tweesteden and Elisabeth hospitals in Tilburg.
Gynaecological cancer includes several types of cancer, such as cervical, ovarian, and uterine. Catharina hospital doctors will now perform all complicated procedures in Eindhoven, whilst follow-up treatment may still take place in patients’ local hospitals.
