For the first time in three years Eef Kamerbeek Games was held by Eindhoven Athletics at the Sportpark Hondsheuvels on Saturday evening.
“It was a great success,” says chairman Patrick Stassen. "What a day! What a race! What an atmosphere! Great, really superb," ??he wrote on Facebook. "Thanks to the athletes who made such a wonderful contest, thanks to all the judges, couriers and other stakeholders without you no contest to thank the spectators for the necessary ambiance!"
It was an important game for many athletes, the last opportunity to meet the limits set for the European Championships.
There were several reasons that the Eef Kamerbeek games were missed in the past two years. But what Stassen says that it will not be a one-off event. Plans are already made for the next edition of the Eef Kamerbeek Games.
