In a few weeks, the first budget hotel, Blue Collar, opens its doors. Construction has not been completed yet, but goes according to plan, says Bart van den Dijsel, the initiator.
His Blue Collar Hotel is located behind the Klokgebouw. Soon, it can host 186 guests in bedrooms up to four people, dormitories or suites. The bedrooms, dorms and theatre are currently finished. Breakfast can be taken on the roof terrace, offering panoramic views of the former Philips area.
The hotel opens its doors mid-September. The first reservations have been made. Van den Dijsel expects many guests during the Dutch Design Week in October.
