Storm damage in Eindhoven area

Yesterday, Eindhoven seemed to have escaped the heavy weather conditions that moved across the southern part of the country. Last night, however, a new storm raged through the Eindhoven area.

Storm damage was reported several times to the fire department and police. Lightning struck a house on Herinkhave, in the Gestel neighbourhood, part of a roof was detached in the Woensel Shopping Mall, and trees came down on the Barrierweg and Gerardusplein.

In Geldrop, a tree fell on the train tracks, causing delays in rail service to Weert.
