All 13,000 ASML employees received a nice sum last month.
ASML sales rose to 5.2 million Euro last year. Profits were a million Euro. These good results made it possible to give all employees an extra 14 percent on their gross salary.
The company needs to give these bonuses to its staff in order to keep them and to attract new personnel. There is still a lack of a technically skilled workforce in the Netherlands.
Competition is high from other companies in the area, who also need this workforce.
CEO Peter Wennink cashed in 10,887 shares, resulting in almost 685,000 Euro, AFM (Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets) reported.
