The two districts Stratum and Gestel and the Mensfort quarter will temporarily have no alternative for the local library when their branches close this autumn. That is councilwoman Schreurs’ answer to questions asked by the elderly party Ouderen Appèl.
According to Schreurs, this is due to the reuse of materials and equipment of the old libraries. These items have to be moved and reinstalled. Therefore it will take a few days before the new branch can open its doors.The branches in Stratum, Gestel and Mensfort will close between 1 October and 1 December of this year.
