The case has been open since early January, but today it comes to a close. The judge has ruled the notorious case of the Vestdijk assault, also known as the ‘kopschop’ (kicked in the head) incident.
Four suspects will learn today what their punishments will be. Brent L. is the prime suspect; the justice system demanded earlier two years in juvenile detention. The other three accused were given sentences ranging from four months in jail, three months in jail and 70 hours of community service.The four were part of a group of young people that attacked a 22-year old by beating and kicking him at Vestdijk in Eindhoven. The images which were captured have caused much upheaval.
