More houses have been sold in the Eindhoven region in the last three months than in the same quarter last year. On average, houses are 5.5% cheaper than last year. This is according to a report issued by the estate agents organization NVM.
537 houses were sold in the first three months of the year. That is 12% more than the same period last year. An average house in Eindhoven now costs around 200.000 Euros. This increase in sales is interesting as fewer houses are being sold nationally. This is due to the new regulations for mortgage deductions. This led to many people buying their homes last year instead of in the first quarter of this year. This is not the case in Eindhoven, as the average house prices have dropped.
