World Press Photo 12

Wednesday, 19 September 2012

EINDHOVEN – World Press Photo 12 is shocking, horrible, beautiful and breathtaking. The World Press Photo exhibition (www.worldpressphoto.nl) shows the most exceptional and intrusive press photos of the year and thus gives an immediate overview of 2011 headlines.

Last year was perhaps the biggest news year of the past decades: the tsunami in Japan, the ever-increasing chaos of the Arab Spring, the economic crisis and the tragedy in Norway. The exhibition is diverse and affective in many ways… Every year, the World Press Photo is like a moment of reflection on how good your own life actually is. It confronts you, intrigues you and challenges you to keep paying attention. The World Press Photo exhibition in Eindhoven takes place from 15 September to Saturday 7 October. The entrance is free. Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 hrs. Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00 hrs. At the TU/e Main hall and ‘Kennispoort’ hall (both TU/e area).
