Library to ask Woensel residents for input

The Eindhoven library will be in conversation with the residents of the suburb of Woensel in the near future. The organisation wants to get input on what the library should look like in the future.

“By talking to residents, we want to know what the needs are,” says library employee, Mirjam van Gogh.

The walkabout in Woensel is part of Expedition E. This is an experiment the organisation wants to use to reinvent itself and to consider its future. The experiment started on Wednesday with the opening of a new library branch in Woensel Shopping Centre.

Van Gogh: The library is no longer just for reading. It is also a place where people discover their talents, and where knowledge is shared in the broadest sense of the word. We want to play in on that.”
