GearJunks: new gadgets

September 14, 2021 @ 20:00 - 23:59

Popei GearJunks

On Tuesday 14 September a new edition of GearJunks will take place in POPEI music centre Eindhoven.

‘In search of the holy grail of sound’, this is the meeting for musicians and other gear junkers who like to talk about pedals, guitars, amps, other gear and especially the combination of it altogether.

What gear did you buy last year? Was there a specific (bass) guitar, amplifier or pedalboard that gave you extra inspiration? Or at least made life a lot more fun? Guitarists Marc Eijkhout and Frank Schurgers invite you to bring your new gadgets and they will bring one themselves.

About GearJunks in general:
This monthly meeting is a kind of live version of That Pedal Show. Trying, listening… you can’t argue about taste but you can learn from each other, get ideas and compare.

It is fixed that there are always 2 musicians with different amplifiers, guitars, elements and pedals. Every time there is a different theme, which is determined in advance in the corresponding Facebook group.

Gain Stacking, modulation, delays, compression, shoot outs, to see what sounds best, war of the clones with self made pedals, etc. You can also bring your own gear, bought or home made.

They regularly invite guests like builders of amps, guitars and pedals and famous guitarists.
