Nuenen and Waalre have both been placed in the top fifty of the Netherlands’ most sustainable municipalities. A report by the Telos Institute shows that these municipalities score well in the Nationale Monitor Duurzame Gemeenten 2015.
Nuenen is mentioned in the list, together with Gerwen and Nederwetten. Eindhoven only managed a 124th place. Geldrop Geldrop-Mierlo is also on the list, having dropped 50 places to the 241st position.
The list does not only take the actual sustainability into consideration. Education and employment in the municipality are also factors.
