A shopping plaza in the new district Volta Galvani in Woensel will officially be opened today. The shopping centre is called Woensel WestSide Stores and about 25 entrepreneurs start their businesses there.
Every shop in the open-air shopping mall at the Edison Street is unique and you will not find any branches of major retail chains there. Some of the shops focus on sustainability and re-use, others on biological food or unique vintage products. Male shoppers can go to a real barber shop.
The whole weekend is dedicated to the grand opening. Visitors can participate in a workshop candy floss making, street actors will be performing and there is also a fashion show.
Today’s festival programme starts at 14:00 and will last until 22:00 and tomorrow the programme continues with activities between 14:00 and 18:00.
